I don’t know!

This may come as a surprise to some but I don’t know everything! Many will be shocked by this announcement!

In life I often feel I am expected to know everything.

As a mum.

As a boss.

As a woman.

As a human.

It can feel like a weakness to acknowledge we might have a gap in our knowledge, don’t know the answer to the question or just don’t have a bloody clue what to do!

Barack Obama acknowledges in his book. about his presidency, A Promised Land, he acknowledges he didn’t always know the answer.

‘ I don’t know’ if i made a difference.

‘I don’t know’ if i made the right decisions at the right time.

And if the former. American President can admit he might not always know, it makes me feel a little safer that I can too.

It’s alright not to know everything.

It’s alright not to be an expert on everything.

It can be empowering to learn from others’ knowledge.

But it’s not always easy. And that’s okay too.
